Rorqual

The refinement of the Rorqual has been my main area of study for the last 2 years. My goal is to create a full-sized surfboard that fundamentally changes our viewpoints of how we can surf traditional longboards. Unifying design characteristics of conventional gliders, modern displacement hulls, and performance mid-sized boards, the Rorqual was originally intended to be a classic small wave trimmer, yet it has also proven to be both versatile and progressive in almost any condition. Aggressively foiled down-rails, complex mid-board concaves, and flat rocker all contribute to quick rail-to-rail responsiveness and optimal trim speeds.

With the wide point in front of center, not only does the Rorqual paddle effortless, but it also trims from the front half of the board with endless stability. The narrow pulled in tail allows you to draw smooth wide lines with ease.

The loose modified-spiral “V” in the tail lends to great rail-to-rail responsiveness while the unique bottom concaves prevent the tail from sitting deep in the water and tracking a single line.
