Vaquita
A derivative of my early board designs, the Vaquita puts a modern twist on the classic wide-point-forward tube hounds of the 70’s. A more gradual rocker and more foiled rails make the Vaquita usable in a wider variety of conditions than its vintage counterparts.
The outline and bottom contours can work as both a bonzer or 2+1 (with some slight variations in the tail section), but I personally like it best as a bonzer. It’s a great alternative to a step-up shortboard for someone interested in prioritizing down-the-line trim and speed over top-to-bottom surfing.
